Our Mission
The mission of Uwharrie
Capital Corp is broader than that of the subsidiary
banks in our geographic focus. Each bank has its primary
focus on enhancing the well-being of its county by aggressively
identifying and filling the needs for financial services
and by fairly rewarding its supporters. The formation of
Uwharrie Capital Corp grew out of the recognition that the
well-being of a community economically is interlinked with
the economic well-being of neighboring communities. Preserving
a sense of community along with the values that create a
real community is a part of our mission. . . People working
together to make a difference at home. Balancing the short-term
pursuit of profits with the long-term goal of maintaining
a quality of life for our descendents is a challenging task.
It will be accomplished by checking our strategy and actions
against our "Core Values" and
our "Mission". . . our "Constitution."

dedicated to supporting the mission in the spirit of
the founding philosophy.

for the need of a balance between the use of technology
and the need for close customer contact.
- Maintain flexibility in organizational structures, policies
and procedures in order to cope effectively with the changing
market environment and conditions.
