Bank & Trust is pleased to announce that Ronald
Barnes, a highly experienced mortgage banker in the Cabarrus
County market, has joined Cabarrus Bank & Trust as
Vice President of Mortgage Lending.
Mr. Barnes began his financial services career in 1979
and has nearly 25 years experience in the real estate and
mortgage banking environment. On Mr. Barnes’s decision
to join Cabarrus Bank & Trust, Mrs. Horton commented, “We
are very pleased to have Ronald Barnes as part of our team.
He has been in this market for over 20 years and brings
a wealth of knowledge and experience that will assist our
customers in the markets we serve. Ronald reflects our
focus of serving the people in our community and feels

Ronald received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Administration from Appalachian State University. His experience
includes mortgage loan origination for Federal Housing
Administration (FHA), Veterans Administration (VA), conventional,
conforming and non-conforming loans.
Mr. Barnes is originally from Gaston County and is a
graduate of South Point High School. He and his wife, Tanya,
reside in Cabarrus County and have two children, William
and Rachel. He enjoys golf and is an active member of his
church.
