Jeff Talley, President of Strategic Investment Advisors

Tuesday, January 15th 2008 - Albemarle, NC - Christy Stoner, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Investment Advisors, announced that Jeff Talley, a well-known and highly respected financial executive in this community, has been recently named President of Strategic Investment Advisors by the Uwharrie Capital Corp Board of Directors.

Since joining the company in 1997, Jeff has held various positions within the holding company, Uwharrie Capital Corp and subsidiary, Bank of Stanly, and most recently as Executive Vice President with the investment subsidiary, Strategic Investment Advisors.

His primary focus has been business development, wealth management, operations and organizational management and strategic planning for the company.

Jeff originally joined Bank of Stanly in January 1997 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In 2003 he received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Financial Institutions and Commercial Banking from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Currently, Jeff is working toward receiving the Chartered Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) designation from the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) and the Certified Financial Planners (CFP) designation from the American College. Jeff and his wife Kellie are busy parents of two daughters Payton, age 5 and Reagan, age 2.
