Bob Brannan Joins Uwharrie Capital Corp As Executive Vice President, Credit Administration
Tuesday, January 29th 2008 - Albemarle, NC - Roger Dick, Chief Executive Officer of Uwharrie Capital Corp, announced this week that Robert (Bob) Brannan, a well-known and highly respected executive in the region, will join the company on February 11, 2008 as Executive Vice President, Credit Administration.
Bob’s background includes over 20 years executive level management in the corporate banking market, business development, operations and financial analysis in the financial services industry and with various large enterprises in this area.
Upon Bob’s decision to join the company, Mr. Dick commented, “We are extremely excited and fortunate to have Bob Brannan as part of our executive team at Uwharrie Capital Corp. Bob received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and completed the Management Training and Corporate Banking Training Program through Wachovia Bank. On joining the Uwharrie Capital Corp family, Bob commented, “I am excited to have the opportunity to join a great group of associates at Uwharrie Capital. Bob has been active in the community as past Chairman and Board Member of the Concord-Cabarrus Chamber of Commerce, and formerly a volunteer to organizations including United Way, Boy Scouts of America, Boys and Girls Club of Cabarrus County and Concord Rotary Club. Bob resides in Concord with his wife, Debbie, and their two children, Elizabeth and Robert, and is a member of First Presbyterian Church.
